Minecrawlers are one of the most dangerous attackers in Myrthana. They are neither extremely strong, nor very fast, but they can surprise anyone since they dwell in dark places. Their pincers are used for the creation of different weapons (and even the brewing of a special Booze), while their mandibles possess a magical secretion. This secretion can be used to restore lost mental powers. Also, the minecrawler's protective plating can be used to make the very strong Minecrawler Plate Armor if given to Wolf in the New Camp.
A very close relative of these creatures are the Sandcrawlers, which lives deep within the caves in the desert of Varant. Minecrawlers and sandcrawlers are pack hunters.
Minecrawlers have a hierarchy of their own. There are the normal crawlers, which are the weakest of them all. Then, there are The Minecrawler Warriors, which are the real fighters of the nest because they possess greater strength and armor. Finally, there's the Minecrawler Queen, which is the very source of these creatures. The queen is so big, and full of eggs, that she can't even move, so she posses no threat when using ranged attacks, although, she can strike back with a powerful attack if you get too close. The eggs that the Minecrawler Queen lays are a great source of the crawler's secretion.
